In this study, Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) has been used to evaluate the environmental impact of operation of three different process configurations for phosphorus removal from wastewater; pre-precipitation, simultaneous precipitation and enhanced biological phosphorus removal (Bio-P) considering two different total phosphorus effluent standards: 1 mg P/L and 0.3 mg P/L. Monitoring of water runoff from construction sites and in the stormwater system (Anton Jacobson, IVL) 5 min
We introduce digital services to improve management of wastewater, stormwater and flooding events. Existing technical platforms and services (e.g. FIWARE, CKAN) are extended to the water domain. Emerging digital technologies such as IoT, Artificial Intelligence, and Big Data is used to provide accurate real-time predictions and refined information.

Temperature transition from mesophilic to thermophilic anaerobic digestion and control of the experimental data against the ADM1 model (Ted Lundwall, IVL/KTH/Käppalaförbundet) 15 min
The main aim of the study is to compare thermophilic digestion with the full-scale mesophilic digestion at Käppala WWTP, Sweden and to be able to use the calibrated model to simulate future operation of a possible thermophilic digestion process. Related project report Pdf, 1.1 MB.
